SutiSoft announces the release of SutiExpense 3.1 with new enhancements that provide additional flexibility for users.

SutiSoft Inc, a trusted provider of web hosted and enterprise solutions, today announced additional features for SutiExpense, its automated expense management solution. The new features include the ability to capture HST (Harmonized Sales Tax), Expense Category Grouping, and Travel Desk Routing to provide additional flexibility for customers. The release also includes many additional features and UI enhancements.

HST (Harmonized Sales Tax)

This feature allows customers to customize tax rules to effectively capture and calculate HST for related expense categories. For example, when entering a food expense, the solution can be configured so that amounts entered for tips are not used to calculate taxes for the food expense. The tip amount, however, would be included the total amount for that food expense.

Travel Desk Routing

Pre-trip requests can be configured to allow users to submit requests with zero expense values. Requests submitted are sent to the travel department where a travel representative completes the request, enters the amounts and makes the necessary bookings. The approval process continues and the request is approved as normal.

Expense Category Grouping

SutiExpense now enables companies to define expense category groups allowing customers to use a common set of fields for similar categories. For example, various travel categories could be grouped together and use the same set of fields for data entry. This reduces the amount of setup and maintenance of the solution.
