Hire to Retire covers the full employment lifecycle: recruiting and onboarding a new employee, managing their time, attendance, leave, and performance while they are with you, running payroll accurately each period, and handling offboarding when they leave. When these steps run across separate HR tools, payroll systems, and spreadsheets, data gets out of sync, compliance gaps appear, and HR teams spend more time reconciling records than supporting the people in them. SutiERP runs the full lifecycle in one system so every employment event from offer acceptance to final paycheck is connected and accurate.

HR touches every employee from the day they accept an offer to the day they leave. When the systems that manage that journey are not connected, the gaps between them create compliance risk, payroll errors, and a lot of manual work that should not exist.
When recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration run in separate tools, a new employee’s record has to be created manually in each one. Offer letters, employment contracts, tax forms, equipment requests, and system access all get initiated through different processes with no shared trigger. New hires spend their first days chasing paperwork that should have been ready before they walked in.
When time tracking, leave management, and payroll run in separate systems, every payroll period requires a manual reconciliation. Overtime not captured, leave balances not updated, shift changes not reflected — each discrepancy has to be found, traced, and corrected before the payroll run. Errors that get through cost money to fix and create trust issues with employees who notice before finance does.
Annual reviews, compensation adjustments, and promotion decisions involve data from performance history, attendance records, and compensation benchmarks. When these live in different systems, managers work from incomplete information and HR has to manually compile a picture that should already exist. Decisions get delayed, documentation is inconsistent, and audit trails are thin.
The table below shows each stage of the Hire to Retire process, which product handles it, and whether it runs automatically or requires a human decision. The process begins at offer acceptance and ends with the final paycheck and offboarding completion.
On offer acceptance, the employee record is created in SutiHR automatically. Onboarding task lists assign to HR, IT, and the hiring manager based on the role and department. No manual record creation or separate system setup required.
Automatic
New hire completes required documents, tax forms, and policy acknowledgments through the onboarding workflow. Each completed item is logged against the employee record. Outstanding items are visible to HR in real time and escalate automatically past the configured deadline.
Automatic
Employee selects benefits through the self-service portal within the enrollment window. Elections are recorded against the employee record and feed into payroll deduction calculations automatically. HR does not need to manually enter benefit elections into a separate payroll system.
Human decision
Employee records time worked through the configured method. Attendance data is captured in real time. Overtime, shift variances, and missed clock-ins are flagged automatically against the schedule. No manual timesheet compilation before payroll.
Automatic
Leave requests are submitted by the employee and routed to the manager for approval. Approved leave updates the attendance record and leave balance in real time. Leave taken feeds directly into payroll calculations with no separate data entry.
Automatic
Manager reviews the leave request and approves or declines based on team coverage and policy. Schedule conflicts with existing approved leave are flagged automatically before the manager makes the decision.
SutiHR
Human decision
Review cycle opens at the configured date. Review forms are assigned to employees and managers automatically. Completion reminders send at configured intervals. Overdue reviews escalate to HR past the deadline. Review history accumulates against the employee record over time.
Automatic
Manager completes the performance review, assigns a rating, and records feedback against defined competencies. Employee completes a self-assessment where configured. Calibration data is visible across the team for managers who need to review rating distributions.
Human decision
Compensation review is triggered by the performance cycle, a promotion event, or a scheduled review date. Manager proposes an adjustment within the configured budget band. Adjustments outside the band flag for HR approval before they are recorded.
Human decision
Payroll run pulls time, attendance, leave, benefits deductions, and compensation data directly from SutiHR. No manual data transfer between systems. Payroll calculations run against the current employee record. Variances from the prior period are flagged before the run is approved.
Automatic
Payroll manager reviews the calculated run, checks flagged variances, and approves for disbursement. Payroll approval reminders send at the configured lead time. If approval is not completed before the processing deadline, the platform escalates automatically.
Human decision
Termination event triggers offboarding task lists for HR, IT, and finance automatically. Final paycheck calculation incorporates outstanding leave balances, deductions, and any termination entitlements. Access revocation, equipment return, and exit documentation tasks are tracked to completion against the employee record.
Automatic
7 of 12 steps run automatically.
Benefits enrollment, leave approval, performance rating, compensation adjustment, and payroll approval stay with your team.
Hire to Retire carries employment law, payroll tax, data privacy, and workforce record-keeping requirements across every stage of the employee lifecycle. The following apply specifically to this process.
Every employment event from onboarding through compensation changes, leave, performance reviews, and offboarding carries a full timestamped record in the employee profile. The record is complete, accessible, and does not require manual reconstruction for an audit or legal review.
Payroll calculations run against time, attendance, leave, and benefits data held in SutiHR. Every deduction, adjustment, and entitlement is traceable to its source record. Period-on-period variances are flagged before disbursement. Tax calculations apply the current rules configured for each jurisdiction.
Leave balances accrue, update, and carry forward according to the policy rules configured in the platform. Every leave event is logged with the request, the approval decision, and the approver. Balance calculations are always current, not reconstructed at period-end.
Performance review records, ratings, and feedback are stored against the employee record and are accessible for employment decisions, dispute resolution, and regulatory review. Review completion is tracked and escalated. No review is undocumented.
Where employee health and benefits data is processed within the platform, it is handled within HIPAA-compliant data handling. Relevant for businesses in healthcare-adjacent contexts or where health benefit elections are managed in SutiHR.
Employee personal data processed within the platform is handled within GDPR-compliant data handling. Relevant for businesses with employees in European jurisdictions. Data access is governed by role-based permissions.
All HR and payroll transactions are covered under the SOC 2 Type II audit scope. Automated actions and agentic decisions carry the same tamper-proof audit trail as manual ones. Independently audited annually.
Connected processes
If you manage employment contracts, sales compensation, or workforce cost reporting alongside HR and payroll, SutiERP connects them without separate integrations or data re-entry.
Your payroll costs, benefits expenditure, and headcount data feed into your financial reporting automatically as each payroll run completes. Finance sees workforce cost by department and cost center without waiting for HR to produce a separate report.
Employment agreements and contractor agreements that require formal authoring, approval, and execution follow the Contract Lifecycle process. The executed agreement links directly to the employee record in SutiHR with no manual filing.
Where variable pay or commission calculations are tied to revenue performance, compensation data in SutiHR connects to pipeline and revenue data in SutiCRM. Sales compensation reviews work from accurate, connected data on both sides.
Manages the full employee lifecycle: employee records, onboarding, time tracking, attendance, leave management, shift scheduling, performance management, and compensation management are all contained within SutiHR.
Handles payroll processing and disbursement. It pulls time, attendance, leave, and benefits data directly from SutiHR with no manual data transfer between systems.
Tracks workforce cost, headcount, attrition, attendance variance, and performance distribution in real time. Payroll cost by department and cost center updates as each run completes.
Most conversations start with one of three gaps. Contracts go out without the right approvals, obligations are not tracked after signature, or renewal dates surface too late to act on. From there, it is straightforward to show where SutiERP closes the gaps.
